IPL teams and their probable starting overseas players
CricSigmaΣ | On 7th March 2021, BCCI announced the schedule of the biggest cricket competition in the world- the Indian Premier League. League stage will begin from 9th April with Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore playing the inaugral match. The playoffs stage will be played from 25th to 30th May 2020 in Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Overseas players have always been one of the main attraction for the audience. They have also played a crucial role in some of the franchise's successful stints. Let's look at the probable starting quartet of overseas players of all the teams.
1. Chennai Super Kings: Three times trophy winner CSK have been always known for getting their combinations right. In 2020, they struggled with the same and bought Moeen in the auction as their only vacant overseas spot. The overseas players playing for CSK would be:-

• Sam Curran
• DJ Bravo
2. Delhi Capitals: 2020 finalists DC did well in this year's auction and bought players suitable for their combinations. South Africa play 3 ODIs with Pakistan in the first half of April which would mean that Rabada and Nortje would not be available for some matches. 3. Kolkata Knight Riders: Two times champion KKR had a peaceful auction with them getting exactly what they wanted. Shakib Al Hasan was an absolute steal at the price at which he was bought. The overseas players playing for KKR would be:-

4. Mumbai Indians: Five time champion MI would be looking to score a hattrick of trophies. They are known for retaining their core and went for great backups in the auction. The overseas players playing for MI would be:-

• Trent Boult
• Adam Milne
5. Punjab Kings: The most unpredictable team of IPL went all big guns this auctions and made some huge buys. Some were highly debatable but some were a bargain. The overseas players playing for PBKS would be:-

• Jhye Richardson
• Chris Gayle
6. Sunrisers Hyderabad: The most systematic and organized team too had a peaceful auction just like KKR. Suchith, Jadhav and Mujeeb were excellent buys at low prices. The overseas players playing for SRH would be:-

• Jason Holder
7. Rajasthan Royals: Inaugral champions RR made the most expensive buy ever and bought Chris Morris for ₹ 16.25 Cr to support their premier bowler Archer. They also bought Livingstone and Mustafizur as backups for their mainstream players with Miller and Tye already available. They have arguably the best overseas quartet in the tournament. The overseas players playing for RR would be:-

8. Royal Challengers Bangalore: RCB also were very generous spending money this time and made two very expensive buys. Some talented domestic players like Baby and Patidar were some of the excellent buys. The overseas players playing for RCB would be:-
